Neuro Community Care, LLC provides community-based therapeutic support for people who have experienced brain injuries and other neurological challenges. Owners Helaine and John Bilos started the company about 10 years ago with about 20 employees. “We just ran with it, as far as HR goes,” recalls John. “We just kind of figured it out.”

To improve their processes, John and a few employees attended a free HR seminar led by Ann. John and Helaine were encouraged to learn they had been doing things pretty well, but wanted further validation they were on the right path. They were impressed with Ann and reached out to Close HR.

“Ann helped us fill in the gaps,” said John. “She helped us go from just winging it to building HR policies and an employee handbook.”

Over the past 10 years, Neuro Community Care and Close HR have built a great relationship. “We can always rely on Ann and her team when the need arises,” said John.

“More recently, we had changes in our leadership team, and we asked Ann to make sure things were stable for our employees in terms of retention, as well as confirm compliance issues were in line,” said Helaine. “A stabilizing factor like Ann stepping in was important for us at that time.”

Close HR team members currently come into the Neuro Community Care office a few days a week to strategize the next few steps for the organization.

“They are a part of the NCC family in a lot of ways, and our people will go to Ann and the Close HR team with questions and concerns,” said Helaine. “There’s a trust factor there.”

Helaine and John recommend Close HR to other companies, as well. “The Close HR team is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and personal. In situations that could be problematic, Ann remains calm and creates a plan,” they said.
