Rob Katz’s software company, Webonise, employs teams of HR professionals located both overseas and in the United States. But with rapid growth on the US side, they needed more of a local HR presence. Several of Rob’s colleagues recommended Close HR Connections as the HR solution that would be the best fit for his booming business.

One of Ann’s initial projects was to update the language in the employee handbook. She was on hand when they presented the revised handbook to staff, helping answer questions and generally being available to the staff. Since then, Ann has been a trusted advisor to Rob and to the organization’s Controller, who handles the company benefits.

Rob says there haven’t been any challenges working with Ann. “She’s done a great job with everything. We’ve always been a very employee-focused business, but just having somebody who’s available and understands the rules and can be at arms length – it’s worked out well.”

What does Rob see as Ann’s greatest value to the business? “She’s very responsive, which in this role is important. She’s a great communicator. There’s always a bit of time sensitivity, and she meets all timetables. She’s proactive; she checks in to see how things are going. “
